To start adding content, sharing materials, or generating reports for a group of students, you first need to create a class.
Open classes
Go to the Classes item in the main navigation menu on the left. If you haven't created any classes yet, you'll see an empty state that reads "No classes yet".

Create the class
- Click New Class in the top corner of the page, or click Create your first class in the empty state.
- In the Class Details dialog that opens, fill in the required fields marked with an asterisk:
- Class Name
- Subject, by choosing from the dropdown
- Grade Levels, by choosing from the dropdown
- Optionally set the extra details:
- Class Type, such as Professional Class
- Semester, such as Full Year
- School Year, which defaults to the current year (for example 2026-27)
- Description, for any notes about the class
-
Click Create Class to save it.

Your new class now appears on the classes page, and you can open it to start adding content or students. If you change your mind partway through, click Cancel to close the dialog without saving.
